Description

Explore 400-year-old Rosenborg Castle on a guided tour with entry. Built by King Christian IV, see his bedchamber, the Crown Jewels, and the Knights' Hall with its silver lions.
Step into a fairy tale at Rosenborg Castle, a 400-year-old Renaissance gem built by King Christian IV as his summer retreat. With your entry ticket included, this 2-hour guided tour brings royal history to life.

Explore Christian IV's bedchamber, where he died in 1648, and the magnificent Knights' Hall (1624), home to the coronation chairs and three life-size silver lions. Descend into the Royal Treasury to see the dazzling Danish Crown Jewels – the only ones in the world still worn by H.M. The Queen on special occasions.

Visit the Marble Room, the Glass Room's Venetian glass, the Flora Danica porcelain, and the Winter Room's 1610s panelling. The tour begins outside the castle, next to the King's Garden (Kongens Have), Denmark's oldest royal garden.

After the tour, you're free to explore the garden, the Hercules Pavilion, and the Hans Christian Andersen statue at your own pace.

Please note: the castle has no lift – wear comfortable shoes for the stairs.
