Your journey begins in Skaftafell, where you’ll meet your certified glacier guide. After a safety briefing and gear fitting—helmet, harness, crampons, and ice axe all provided—you’ll head out to Falljökull, an outlet glacier of the mighty Vatnajökull ice cap.

As you hike up the glacier, you'll explore striking features such as deep crevasses, dramatic ice ridges, and natural water cauldrons carved into the ice over centuries. Surrounded by panoramic views of towering peaks—including Iceland’s highest summit—this is a photo opportunity like no other.
