Your journey begins in Bayahibe, where you’ll board a safari truck and head to our private ranch, located just 15 minutes away. After a warm welcome, our team will explain the safety instructions and itinerary for the day. Let the adventure begin!

Ride through sugarcane fields
Jump into your off-road buggy and head to the famous “weighing station”, where sugarcane workers weigh their harvest before it’s sent to the La Romana factory. Discover the hard work behind this iconic Dominican crop and enjoy a tasting of freshly pressed sugarcane juice — a sweet and authentic treat.

️ Visit a Batey village
Continue your ride to a Batey, a traditional village where sugarcane cutters live. For those who wish to bring donations (school supplies, clothes, toiletries, sweets), we’ll make a short stop to deliver them directly to the children.

Switch to quad bikes and head to the Chavón River
Halfway through the tour, you’ll switch vehicles and hop on a quad bike for more action and fun! Ride through lush landscapes until you reach the majestic Chavón River, a spectacular setting surrounded by tropical vegetation.

️ Swim and discover Dominican traditions
Take a refreshing swim in the river’s calm waters, then visit a local Dominican home along the riverside. Here, you’ll taste typical local products such as cassava bread, plantains, and seasonal fruits — a true immersion into the flavors of the Dominican countryside.

Sunset cruise on the Chavón River
Just when you think the day is over, a surprise awaits! You’ll board a riverboat for a sunset cruise along the Chavón, drink in hand, as the golden light bathes the jungle around you. For the adventurous, a Tarzan-style vine swing is available for some daring river jumps!

️ Dinner under the stars
As night falls, enjoy a 100% Dominican dinner on the river, served buffet-style: grilled chicken, shrimp, rice, cassava, fried plantains, and more. All this while gently sailing under the stars — a romantic and unforgettable moment.

Dance & fun to end the day
After dinner, your guide will teach you a few local dance steps — bachata, merengue, and the joyful spirit of Dominican culture. At around 9:00 PM, we’ll return by safari truck to Bayahibe and drop you off at your hotel with stars in your eyes.

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
