Description

Experience Gustav Klimt up close and immerse yourself in a world of golden light and colour. Plus, discover inspiring works by Friedensreich Hundertwasser and Nohlab's Journey.
Get ready for an unforgettable journey through art and time! Gustav Klimt: The Immersive Experience transports you into the radiant universe of one of Austria’s most iconic artists. Watch “The Kiss” and other masterpieces come alive as they unfold across the entire 3,200 m² projection surface of Port des Lumières through breathtaking 360° projections. Be inspired by the accompanying exhibition “In the Footsteps of the Vienna Secession,” a tribute to the Austrian artist and architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser (1928–2000), and the contemporary, experimental work “Journey” by the Turkish production studio Nohlab. Surrounded by flowing visuals, music, and shimmering gold tones, you’ll feel completely immersed in Klimt’s world like never before.

Located in HafenCity, Port des Lumières is Hamburg’s new immersive experience where you can dive into the paintings of major artists from art history, contemporary digital art, as well as exciting themes from pop culture and science. Spread over 3,200m² of projection space, with a kids’ atelier, a fully mirrored infinity room, and a 5-meter-high ship’s bow, you’ll experience unforgettable moments.
