The Kurhaus in the Hessian state capital of Wiesbaden is one of Germany's most splendid ceremonial buildings. Built in 1907 and featuring all the charms of Wilhelmine architecture, the building was renovated in 1987 according to existing plans by architect Friedrich von Thiersch and restored to its original style. Today, the Kurhaus serves as a center for congresses, meetings and conferences, concerts and shows. Twelve differently designed, magnificent halls and the impressive foyer "fascinate again and again".
