Discover Meissen not through porcelain and wine, but through its beer tradition. Together with your master brewer, you will embark on an entertaining walking tour through the historic old town. Between the Frauenkirche, winding alleys, and the view of the Albrechtsburg, you will learn about the role beer played in the city's history.
To start, a Schwerter welcome beer awaits you with a small brewer's snack. During the tour, your master brewer will tell you interesting facts about the brewing craft, the history of beer in Saxony, and the Meißner Schwerter private brewery. Of course, little anecdotes and beer wisdom are a must.
During the evening, you will taste two more selected Schwerter beer specialties. You will also taste a Freiberger Bockbierbrand, which is served in a rustic mug in keeping with the style. Your master brewer will accompany the tasting and explain the special features of the various drinks.
Afterwards, you will go to an inn with the group. There you will be served a typical beer dinner and you can end the walking tour in good company. At the end, you will receive your personal beer enjoyment diploma as a souvenir of your Meissen beer expedition.

Participants must be at least 18 years old. The walking tour takes you through the historic Old Town of Meissen and partly involves cobblestones and inclines. Please wear comfortable, sturdy shoes and clothing suitable for the weather. The tour lasts about 3.5 hours, including dinner. A minimum of 15 people is required for the tour to operate. If this number is not reached, the tour may be canceled up to 10 days before the start. In this case, you can choose between rescheduling and a full refund of the booking price paid.

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
