Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Quito, stopping at Papallacta’s famous hot springs, where you can soak in warm, mineral-rich waters surrounded by the stunning Andean mountains. After a delicious lunch, the adventure continues as we descend into the Amazon basin towards Huasquila Lodge, your home for the next three nights. In the afternoon, a guided hike leads you through the rainforest to a waterfall, perfect for an energizing bath, while you learn about the medicinal plants and biodiversity of the area. The evening brings a delightful chocolate-making experience, where you will participate in the traditional process of roasting, grinding, and tasting Ecuadorian cacao.

The second day, a three-hour guided hike will take you through lush trails, leading to an impressive cave stretching 120 meters, home to bats and other fascinating creatures. Nearby, a 14-meter-high waterfall invites you for a refreshing dip in its pristine waters. In the afternoon, you will visit a Kichwa community, where you will be welcomed with traditional music and dance. Learn about their customs, be part of the preparation of chicha, and gain insight into their way of life. After dinner, a night walk reveals the Amazon’s hidden wonders, from frogs and insects to glowing bioluminescent mushrooms.

The third day brings an exciting Napo River adventure. A canoe ride takes you deep into the jungle, where you will visit the giant Ceibo tree, try tubing down the river, and explore the Amazoonico rescue center, home to rehabilitated wildlife. A visit to the caiman lagoon rounds out the day before returning to Huasquila Lodge for a well-earned rest.

On the final day, as we journey back to Quito, we stop at a private Andean reserve for a peaceful hike and birdwatching experience, offering a serene conclusion to an action-packed trip. With a final lunch surrounded by nature, we ensure your return to your hotel or the airport smoothly.
