A day full of Andean landscapes, Imbabura stands out as a Geopark, a province full of culture, nature, and aquatic landscapes
Our tour will start from your accommodation at 7:00 am, where a van and our bilingual guide will be waiting to welcome you. The journey to the start of the activities takes between 2 and 3 hours, depending on traffic.
Then we'll start with our activities:
1. Breakfast: We'll start the 2.5-hour journey with technical stops to cool off and use the restrooms.
At 8:30 am, we'll stop for a typical breakfast with sponge cake, chocolate, and queso de hoja.
2. Lago San Pablo viewpoint: Here, you'll admire the unparalleled Lago San Pablo, enjoy the landscape, see the small boats made of totoras, and breathe in the fresh air. We'll also admire Taita Imbabura, learn about the stories and legends of its origin, and observe its imposing presence at the foot of the lake and the city of Otavalo.
3. Cotacachi, the land of Ecuadorian leather: Here we'll do our cultural tour, visiting its central park full of traditions and customs that preserve the history of this place.
We'll also visit leather and craft workshops to see firsthand how high-quality leather textiles are made from all over the country.

4. Cuicocha Lagoon: Next, we'll arrive at the Cuicocha Lagoon, one of the most beautiful in the province, where you'll enjoy a boat ride on its waters to admire the landscape.
5. Traditional lunch
6. Plaza de los Ponchos: In the afternoon, we'll visit Otavalo and its famous Plaza de Ponchos, known as the largest artisan market in the country, where you can see the quality of the crafts, textiles, ponchos, hats, and much more.
You'll find about two blocks of artisan stalls, showcasing a variety of handmade products to help boost their economy.
7. Mirador del Río Pisque: On the way back, we'll stop to admire the sunset and then head back to Quito

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
