We will meet in Piazza Dante with the smile and ease of people reuniting after a long time, and then we will immediately head to nearby Piazza Bellini. This is where I used to spend my evenings chatting until late at night. We'll grab a spritz to go and sip it slowly as we walk side by side, immediately breaking the ice in total ease.

We will then head into the vibrant heart of the historic old town, along Via dei Tribunali. As I tell you what day-to-day life is like in these history-steeped decumani, we'll take a ritual break to enjoy a piping hot pizza a portafoglio, just as every Neapolitan does when hunger strikes and time is short. We'll lose ourselves among the artisan workshops of San Gregorio Armeno, meeting the master nativity scene makers I've known forever, before emerging into the splendor of Piazza del Gesù Nuovo.

Along the way, I'll take you to my favorite culinary haunt to try a unique pasta frittata: crispy on the outside and with a super-creamy center, made with fresh, handmade pasta. A little masterpiece of flavor that tastes like home to me.

We will stroll down lively Via Toledo, sharing intimate stories of the neighborhood and familiar sights, until we emerge into the majestic vastness of Piazza del Plebiscito. There, with the sea just a few steps away, we will bid farewell to the day in the only way that can forge a genuine bond: by sharing a hot espresso and a warm sfogliatella, happy to have met.
