Your guide is an Irish historian who has lived in the Basque Country since 2014 and in Vitoria-Gasteiz specifically since 2018. He is one of a handful of historians writing in English who specializes in contemporary Basque history, Basque nationalism, and the Basque Country’s complex and often turbulent relationship with Spain.

This tour starts and ends at the Monument to the Battle of Vitoria, located in the centre of Plaza de la Virgen Blanca.
