Cruise in comfort on our 12m rigid inflatable boat, the Ocean Defender, purpose-built for small-group tours and whale watching. Enjoy a stunning scenic ride offering panoramic views of K'gari (formerly Fraser Island) as you head into the protected waters of Platypus Bay, the world's first Whale Heritage Site - a unique resting area and playground for the East Australian Humpbacks on their migration - part of the Great Sandy Biosphere and Great Sandy Marine Park. The tour is led by marine scientists, providing expert interpretation of whale behaviours, as well as facts and findings from ongoing, world-leading research. Listen to whale songs through underwater hydrophones. Whale sightings are guaranteed between July 15th and October 9th
The activity provider has committed to the highest sanitation standards and routinely cleans their vessels throughout the trip. Staff will routinely remind guests to use the sanitizer stations and wash hands frequently even during sightseeing and wildlife viewing.
Seats are pre-assigned. Please remain in your assigned section whilst the vessel is moving at speed.
Food and drink services have been modified to limit contact and minimize the potential transmission of germs or viruses.

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
