Forge your own silver ring in Berlin

Be a goldsmith for a day. Experience step by step how to create a beautiful, handmade ring from recycled 925 sterling silver.
Enjoy a few hours of hands-on work in my living room in Berlin and make your first handmade ring out of silver (sterling silver 925).

I'll show you how to turn a piece of raw material into a beautiful silver ring with a smooth, hammered or matte finish.

A few examples on my fingers will show you your options.

Over the course of about 3 hours, I will guide you step by step to your ring-making success.

After we've determined your ring size over snacks and a cup of tea, the material will be cut to size, worked with a file, and then bent into shape.

Then solder and a soldering iron come into play – we solder your ring together at about 1,000 degrees Celsius.

Now it's time for the finishing touches: Using a hammer, we shape the ring into its perfect round form and polish it to an ever-shinier finish with the right polishing tool.

Depending on the desired finish, the ring will be polished to a high gloss or given a hammered pattern or a matte finish.

In this workshop, you will work with classic goldsmithing techniques and craft a simple, elegant ring with clean lines by hand. Unfortunately, very complex or organic designs (e.g., from Pinterest or using the lost-wax casting method) cannot be realized during the workshop.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
