Hike to the Ventana del Roque Nublo, with panoramic views of this natural giant and through the forests of the Llanos de la Pez. This is one of the most beautiful hiking trails in Gran Canaria.
Our excursion begins at the Llanos de la Pez campsite, 1,700 meters above sea level, where we begin the slow ascent to the Ventana del Nublo.
Through a dense pine forest with lots of different vegetation, we soon reach the top of our climb and can already see the Roque Nublo from afar with impressive views of the neighboring island of Tenerife and the Teide, the highest mountain in Spain at 3718m. The breathtaking views during the hike through this area are simply breathtaking.
Along an old "royal road," which we climb, a wide variety of herbs and medicinal plants grow, about which we will learn in detail. Arrival at the plateau below the Ventana del Nublo. During our hike in this region of Gran Canaria, we will also see Tejeda, a well-known tomato-growing village with many terraced cultivation systems. You will experience the absolute uniqueness of one of the most beautiful hikes in the Canary Islands. After our picnic, we will continue our descent to return to the Llanos de la Pez campsite, where we can use the restrooms and have a drink together to reflect on our day of hiking at the Ventana del Roque Nublo.
