Meet in Estes Park, Colorado, and follow your guide to the Bear Lake trailhead. Put on your snowshoes and trekking poles, and learn how to use the gear so that your winter experience is unforgettable.

Begin your hike through a forest of pristine pine and aspen with stunning views of Long's Peak (14,256 ft) and the rugged wilderness of Rocky Mountain National Park. Pass by 3 other sub-alpine lakes on the way to Emerald Lake, including Bear Lake, Nymph Lake, and Dream Lake, each of which provide their own unique charm and views. *Dependent on conditions at the time, we may not see all of the lakes*
Arrive at Emerald Lake and take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and frozen lake. Enjoy a hot drink and take some time to relax and soak in the beauty of the winter landscape before heading back to the trailhead.
Requirement: Non USA resident:
Annual Pass: The America the Beautiful Non-Resident Pass costs $250, covering one vehicle or the pass holder + 3 adults.
OR
Per-Person Surcharge: Non-residents without an annual pass will pay an additional $100 per person (aged 16+) at 11 top parks at Rocky Mountain National Park.

-US residents = $30 per vehicle, $35 7-day pass, $80 annual pass
-Non-residents + $100 per person + $30 vehicle, $250 annual pass (best option for multiple visits)
-Meeting time is 8:00 am at Estes Park Visitor’s Center
-Weather can be breezy and cold, dress appropriately
-Restrooms available only at the trailhead
-Guides accept tips, 10-20% is customary
-Booking terms apply.

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
