Day 1: Addis Ababa to Gelegu (Gateway to Alatish)

Begin your adventure with an early morning flight or drive to the Metema/Gelegu area. Meet your safari crew and transfer to the park boundary. Get a brief orientation, set up camp, and enjoy a sunset nature walk. Spend the night camping under the stars.

Day 2: Full-Day Safari in Alatish

Embark on morning and afternoon game drives across open savannah and riverine forest areas. Keep an eye out for elephants, buffalo, giraffes, lions, kudu, and warthogs. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park and an evening campfire experience. Spend the night camping.

Day 3: Deep Wilderness Exploration

Drive deeper into the park’s remote zones. Go birdwatching along seasonal rivers and wetlands. Enjoy a cultural interaction with local Gumuz communities (if accessible). Choose to go on an optional bush walking safari with a scout guide. Spend the night camping.

Day 4: Return to Addis Ababa
