The Northern Lights are a breathtaking natural phenomenon created by solar activity and the interaction between the Earth’s magnetic field and the atmosphere.

In Finnish folklore, the word revontulet (Northern Lights) comes from the ancient belief in the “fire fox” (tulikettu). As the magical fox runs across the fells, its tail sweeps against the snow, sending sparks into the sky that ignite the colorful lights above. Another legend says that if a couple sees their first Northern Lights together, their love will last forever.
