Meet your ice climbing guide at Hotel Pyhätunturi's reception, get equipped, hike 10 minutes in the wilderness and get the ice climbing going at Tajukangas Ice Fall in Pyhä. By the Tajukangas ice climbing shrine you will enjoy not only climbing in beautiful environment but also a bonfire and some hot berry beverages keeping you warm during the little breaks. All the climbers will get two proper climbs up the ice wall reaching above 20 meters. The higher you climb the better the views get!

Pyhä is located a 1,5 hour car drive from Rovaniemi, the closest international airport (RVN) and and Santa Claus’ headquarters. The comfortable Skibus ride to Hotel Pyhätunturi takes approximately 2 hours.
Please wear a suitable personal clothing for winter weather including proper (ski) gloves or mittens. Please also bring a balaclava or a simple woolen hat without bobble / pompom that will fit under climbing helmet. Please consider bringing some snacks like nuts, energy bars or chocolate (caution: keep chocolate in a pocket inside of your jacket, otherwise it will freeze).
The meeting point is at the reception of Hotel Pyhätunturi. Just follow the signs from outside.

When should I book?

Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
