An immersive half-day in the world of wine, from vine to glass: excursion in the vineyards, discovery of the terroir, and sensory tasting of Loire Valley wines with a sommelier

This immersive half-day invites you to discover wine from its origin, in the heart of the vineyards, to its tasting.

The experience begins right in the vineyard, where you will take a walk among the vines and discover the town of Saumur to understand what shapes a wine: the soil, the climate, the life of nature, the grape varieties, and the human touch. Here, wine takes root in the landscape.

We then continue in a dedicated space, somewhere between a cellar and a wine bar, to extend this immersion in a warm and authentic atmosphere.

Then it's time for a guided tasting of several wines from the Loire Valley (sometimes with a Loire grape variety from another region of France). The approach is deliberately sensory: it's not just about analyzing, but about feeling, perceiving, and connecting with the wine.

Each wine becomes an experience, a living interpretation of the terroir you have just discovered in the vineyards.

Accessible to all, this experience is aimed at both the curious and enthusiasts who want to deepen their understanding of wine in an intuitive and lively way.

The small-group format allows for a special moment of exchange, where everyone can explore their own perception of wine.

In the case of adverse weather conditions, the activity may be adapted.

The activity is held with a minimum number of participants; if the number of participants is not reached, the customer will be offered an alternative date or a refund

Meeting point The meeting point is at Shop Wine – Au 4 Vins, located in the heart of Saumur. A sign saying “Le Secret des Papilles” will be visible at the entrance to guide you easily. Address: 78 and 80 Avenue du Général de Gaulle 49400 Saumur Please arrive 5 minutes before the activity starts, so that we can get started together in the best possible conditions.

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.


Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
