On our tour, you'll visit the Didgori Battle Memorial, a battle that took place on August 12, 1121, between the forces of the Kingdom of Georgia and the Seljuk forces of Toghrul.
The Shio-Mgvime Monastery is a medieval monastic architectural complex in Georgia, near the town of Mtskheta. It is located in a narrow limestone gorge.
Mtskheta is one of the oldest cities in Georgia, founded in the 5th century BC. Mtskheta is home to the Samtavro Monastery complex (the main church of the 11th century) and the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. Near Mtskheta is one of the oldest monastic churches in the country, Jvari (6th century).
