DAY 1: ARRIVAL – ACCRA
Upon arrival in Accra, Ghana’s vibrant capital, your professional guide will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. Later in the evening, enjoy a hosted Welcome Dinner and briefing on your upcoming adventure.
DAY 2: ACCRA CITY TOUR
Explore the over 140-year-old city of Accra, where modern and colonial influences blend. Visit the National Museum, the bustling Makola Market, W.E.B. Du Bois Centre, Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, Black Star Square, and the Arts and Craft Market for a glimpse into Ghanaian history, culture, and creativity.
DAY 3: ACCRA – KUMASI
Depart Accra after breakfast and head to Kumasi, historic capital of the Ashanti Kingdom. On arrival, tour the Manhyia Palace Museum, the former residence of Ashanti royalty, and now a museum celebrating the legacy, culture, and regalia of one of Africa’s most powerful empires.
DAY 4: ASHANTI CRAFT VILLAGES
Discover the Ashanti region’s traditional crafts. At Adanwomase, observe the intricate process of Kente weaving and try your hand at the loom. Visit a cocoa farm to learn about Ghana’s prized export from bean to bar. Continue to Ntonso Adinkra Village to explore symbolic Adinkra printing and design your own souvenir cloth with meaningful motifs.
DAY 5: KUMASI – CAPE COAST
After breakfast, journey south to Cape Coast with a solemn stop at Assin Manso Slave River, where enslaved Africans took their "Last Bath." Then, tour the haunting Cape Coast Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to walk through dungeons and pass through the “Door of No Return” while learning about the transatlantic slave trade.
DAY 6: RELAXATION DAY
Take a well-deserved break to relax at your hotel. Lounge by the pool, read, or simply enjoy the peaceful coastal surroundings after several days of immersive travel.
DAY 7: KAKUM NATIONAL PARK – RETURN TO ACCRA
In the morning, head to Kakum National Park for the thrilling Canopy Walk, suspended above the rainforest floor. Take in panoramic views and spot unique flora and fauna. After the adventure, check out and return to Accra. In the evening, enjoy a Farewell Dinner with fellow travelers to share memories and conclude your journey.
DAY 8: DEPARTURE
