Accra: 7 Day History and Heritage Guided Tour in Ghana

Day 1: Airport pick up to your hotel

Day 2: Accra City Tour: Visit W.E.B Dubios Center for pan Africanism, National Museum, Makola Market, Kwame Memorial Park, Arts Center and Black Star/Independence Square.

Day 3: Cape Coast Tour - Cape Coast Castle, Elmina Castle and Kakum National Park

Day 4: Shai Hills, Boat Cruise, and Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary: Start your adventure at Shai Hills Reserve. Visit the museum, see bamboos, zebras, and possibly a large number of antelopes during the dry season. Climb Mongo Hill for a panoramic view of the park and explore the cave where the Dipo girls are kept during their initiation rituals. Next, head to Royal Sechi Resort for a boat cruise on the Volta River, the largest in Ghana and West Africa. Enjoy lunch before visiting Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary, home to the playful Mona Monkeys. Learn about the 200-year coexistence between the monkeys and the villagers and interact with these friendly creatures.

Day 5: Wli Waterfall and Mount Afadja:Hike through the forest of Agumatsa Wildlife Sanctuary to the famous Wli Waterfall, the highest in West Africa. Cross 9 streams and immerse yourself in the cooling waters. Encounter a large colony of fruit bats, butterflies, birds, monkeys, and baboons along the way. In the afternoon, conquer Mount Afadja, the highest mountain in Ghana. Reach the peak at 885 meters and enjoy breathtaking views of the Agumatsa range near the villages of Liati Wote and Gbledi.

Day 6: Mount Gemi and Canopy Walk: Begin your day in Amedzofe, the highest place of habitation in Ghana. Hike to Mount Gemi, the 5th highest mountain in the country. Learn about the German settlers who once inhabited the village and see the antenna they mounted for communication during World War II. End your adventure with a canopy walk over the Ote Falls, offering spectacular views of the waterfall.

Day 7: Return to Accra and airport drop off (NB: Decide to add more days at extra cost if you decide to stay longer days than published one).
