Description

Welcome to Ghana. During the half day private tour, you will see all the interesting and popular sights Accra has to offer with an exciting experience that will warm your hearts.

Proceed to visit the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum and Park, final resting place of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the first President of Ghana.

The Mausoleum has been visited by many world dignitaries. Stop at the Independence Square, Accra’s open-air ceremonial grounds where all national celebrations are held, for photo opportunity. Visit the uniquely designed caskets shop where caskets are produced based on the African belief of life after death.

Therefore caskets are designed to reflect the earthly profession of the deceased with the belief that they can continue to practice this profession in the other world. Hence a bus driver will be buried in a bus, a teacher in a book, a doctor in a syringe, etc. Drive through Old Accra which was divided into Dutch and British Accra as a result of the two European nations operating from different locations within the same township of a little under 1sq kilometer.

Drive past James Fort built by the British in 1662, Old Accra Square and the Post Office. See Ussher Fort, one of three European forts in Accra which have survived the times. Your last stop on the tour will be the Arts and Crafts market where you may try out your bargaining skills on the local vendor. Return to your pick up point.
