Start near Hadrian’s Gate, thought to have been built to celebrate the arrival of the Roman Emperor Hadrian. Hear about the infamous Ottoman sultan Hasekis as you enjoy magnificent views of the ruins of the Temple of Olympian Zeus. Continue to the 19th-century mansion of the Zappeion Megaron, built to house the participants of the 1st modern Olympic Games. See the neighboring Panathenaic Stadium, a symbol of the Greek athletic traditions.
Next, look at the Presidential mansion and Prime Minister's residence on Herodou Attikou street. Visit the National Garden, the oldest and most famous botanical garden in Greece.
