You will fill your lungs with oxygen and your heart with joy looking down on the city of Stepantsminda. During this journey you will visit: Zhinvali Reservoir – picturesque water reservoir. Ananuri Fortress – medieval defensive fortress, built by the Dukes of Aragvi and its earliest parts date from the 13th century. The fortress is on the Unesco Tentative list. Arch of Friendship near Gudauri – the monument is a circular balcony hanging off of a 600 meter cliff with amazing views of Caucasus Mountains. Kazbegi/Stepanstminda and its famous landmark – Gergety Trinity Church – one of the most famous destination in Georgia. This place is very special and magnificent because of the breathtaking view around the Caucasus Mountains. In 14th century Trinity Church was built here, which is still active and monks live here. The elevation of the place is 1 200m. The magic of the Caucasus mountains, gorgeous panorama, best in any season. you will have an opportunity to take a look at the fifth highest mountain peak in Europe – Mkinvartsveri ( 5054 m).
Visit Bodbe – Monastery is one of the most significant monasteries in Georgia. The monastery is located in the village Bodbe, 2 km away from Sighagi in Kakheti. The area of monastery is surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and filled with purest air. This exceptionally beautiful place occupies large area with flower gardens, vineyards, church buildings, and a healing spring. Bodbe Monastery is, actually, St Nino’s Monastery. St Nino’s is of big importance among orthodox Christians, pilgrims from all over the world gather there. St. Nino was the evangelist who spread Cristianity in Georgia. Her grave is still preserved in Monastery.
Sighnagi – Due to its special and unique architecture and natural location Sighnaghi, pearl of Kakheti region (110km from Tbilisi), is one of the most beautiful small towns in Georgia. Built 790 meters above the sea level, it overlooks the most beautiful landscape of Alazani Valley and Caucasus Mountains. It was recently restored under government project, but 200-year old view is still preserved. The wall, houses built with Georgian bricks, wooden fretwork balconies, cobblestone pavements, wine cellars, basements and of course the inimitable views produce an unforgettable impression upon the visitors of the town. You can enjoy walking in the city, get up the wall, eat Kakhetian food and drink wine in its restaurants, visit wine cellars, buy Georgian carpets or at least some knitted goods such as socks and hats.
