This is one of the closest points a hiker can reach to Mount Fitz Roy inside Los Glaciares National Park: 24 km round trip, 1,500 m of accumulated elevation, and roughly 9 hours on foot through native forest, mountain rivers, and the moraine above Laguna Sucia. The trail starts at Puente Río Eléctrico, climbs to the Piedras Blancas viewpoint, and finishes with a demanding 1.5 km push over high-mountain terrain that may include rock, water, snow, or ice. Crampons are included whenever conditions call for them.
