Climb aboard a small boat at Pointe Jérome and cross to the coral island of Ile aux Aigrettes. Marvel at the flora and fauna once considered on the verge of extinction on a 1.5 to 2-hour hike with the rangers. Look for wildlife, such as giant tortoise and ornate day gecko.
Next you will then have the chance to visit the white sandy beach of Blue Bay. After Blue Bay, you'll visit La Vanille Nature Park where you'll see a variety of animals, and be able to explore an insectarium, fossil museum and interactive farm. Finish the day at Gris Gris and La Roche qui Pleure, where you can admire the rugged scenery of the south of Mauritius, the most wild part of the island.

• There will be time to stop for lunch, but the cost is at your own expense
• The pickup time may change slightly depending on the boat's schedule. We will contact you if the pickup time changes. If you don't hear from us then there have been no changes.
• We recommend bringing comfortable walking shoes, a bottle of water and mosquito repellent for Ile aux Aigrettes. Due to the sensitive nature of the habitat, eating and swimming is not permitted in Ile aux Aigrettes. However, guests can swim and eat at Blue Bay Beach.

We pick up at all hotels, B&Bs, apartments on the island. Please let us know which hotel, B&B or apartment you're staying at. Note that the schedule of the boat to Ile aux Aigrettes changes daily, but the boat typically departs between 9am and 10am. Your pickup time will depend on where you are staying, but will typically be between 8am and 9:30am. We will let you know your exact pickup time upon booking.
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
Cancellation is not possible. If you cancel it anyway or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity and the money you paid will not be refunded.
