Description
Embark on a 2-day camping tour to Mount Merbabu from Yogyakarta. Hike to the summit of the mountain, camp overnight, and watch the sunrise from the top.
Embark on a 2-day adventure to Mount Merbabu to witness the sunset and sunrise from the summit. Enjoy a camping experience in the great outdoors and take in the stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
Day 1:
Be picked up from your accommodation in Yogyakarta and drive for 2 hours to Selo village. When you arrive at the basecamp of Mount Merbabu, take your food before hiking or take it away and eat it on the way. Make a preparation and briefing before you start.
When all is ready, start hiking to the campsite at checkpoint 4 (Sabana 1) on a 3-4 hour hike. Enjoy a welcome drink and snack and wait for the sunset. Around 6-7 PM, your porter/guide will cook dinner. Then, sleep in a tent.
Day 2:
At 3:30 AM, prepare for the summit from the campsite on a 2-2.5 hour hike. When you reach the peak of Klenteng Songo, enjoy the majestic sunrise and beautiful landscape, seeing 7 summits of other mountains from the peak.
When you have had enough, head back to the campsite for breakfast. Prepare for the descent to the basecamp and meet your driver. Drive back to Yogyakarta and end the service.

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
