The trek covers a distance of about 3 km with a travel time of about 1 hour and an elevation of only 400 meters, making it suitable for all ages.
Behind you, enjoy views of the city of Yogyakarta from a distance, and right in front of you, Mount Merapi stands majestically. The track is divided into 4 rest stops, and here is home to 7 “Javanese Eagles.”
This endemic bird is a symbol of Indonesia, with only 1,000 remaining on the entire island of Java today. If you’re lucky, you may also encounter this bird hunting its prey.
After completing the trek and taking photos at several spots, return to the base camp, and be transported back to your hotel.
