Shortly after midnight, depart for Ijen Crater. Trek with your guide through the cool mountain air to reach the crater rim before dawn. At the summit, admire the breathtaking turquoise acidic lake. Depending on volcanic activity and local regulations, you may also have the opportunity to witness the famous blue fire phenomenon.
