1. Arrive to agreed on location
Upon arrival at the agreed location, you’ll be greeted warmly by the Husky Iceland team. The family-run operation provides an intimate and welcoming environment, where you’ll immediately feel like part of the family. You’ll be introduced to the sled dogs and have the opportunity to interact with them.

2. Meet the Huskies
Before heading out on the trail, you’ll meet the huskies that will be pulling your sled. These dogs are highly trained and eager to run. You can pet and interact with them, learn about their personalities, and even hear stories about their training and the sledding culture in Iceland.

3. Safety Briefing & Equipment
Your guide will give a comprehensive safety briefing to ensure that you’re comfortable and prepared. The guide will explain the roles of the dogs, how to work with them, and the dos and don’ts for the ride. Afterward, you’ll be suited up and ready to go.

4. Sledding Adventure Begins
Once you’re ready, you’ll hop onto your sled (or into the passenger seat, depending on your preference). The huskies will eagerly begin pulling the sleds, and you’ll embark on an unforgettable ride. You’ll ride along scenic, safe trails with a guide, enjoying the stunning landscapes while the guide controls the sled. The pace of the ride depends on the terrain and the weather. Expect a mix of exciting speeds, calm stretches, and awe-inspiring scenery along the way.

5. Scenic Icelandic Landscapes
Throughout your tour, you’ll experience the breathtaking natural beauty of Iceland. Depending on the time of year, you may glide through:
Snowy fields
Mountainous terrain with panoramic views
Ice-capped glaciers (depending on the route)

6. Return to the starting point
After completing the trail, you’ll return to the starting point. The huskies will be happy to rest after their hard work, and you can give them some extra love and attention. The experience wraps up with a warm, friendly atmosphere where the whole team is happy to answer any questions and share more about their work.

7. Farewell & Photos
Before you leave, take some time to snap photos with the huskies and guides. This is the perfect opportunity to capture the memories of your adventure. You can also chat with the family about their passion for the dogs and their history in the sport.

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
