Description
Imagine a medieval Milan, a city that, despite the beauty of its churches and palaces, was governed by strict rules and strong control....
Medieval Milan was a city of contrasts, where the majesty of churches and palaces clashed with the rigidity of rules imposed by rulers. The streets were bustling with merchants, artisans and pilgrims, but behind the imposing walls of its fortresses, daily life was regulated by strict control. The city was dotted with prisons, a symbol of strict justice meant to maintain order, but which often concealed a dark side. Prisons were not only places of punishment, but reflected a reality where individual freedom was restricted, and abuse of power was not uncommon. Fear of control, punishment and constant surveillance hovered among people, while the city, while resplendent in its art and architecture, hid in the shadows a system of power that did not always respect justice and truth.

INCLUDED
- Imagine a medieval Milan, a city that, despite the beauty of its churches and palaces, was governed by strict rules and strong control. This was reflected in the large number of prisons, which were supposed to provide strict security ... but the reality, as is often the case, was much more complex.
- In our tour we will trace the history of some of these prisons, revealing the secrets of their management and the powerful figures who were their principals. One of the most feared names is that of Bernabò Visconti, the "evil" lord of Milan, who exercised his power from his residence in Piazza Missori.
- But it does not end there. Milan, over the centuries, has intertwined its stories with dark legends, some of which feature the Devil himself. And finally, we will tell you the story of a very special character: Manfredo Settala, a man shrouded in mystery, who perhaps, in some way, had something to do with the evil one.
