Description

Meet your guide in Naples and spend the day discovering the Amalfi Coast. Enjoy stops in the charming towns of Sorrento, Positano, and Amalfi.
SORRENTO - Perched on a cliff of oranges, lemons and olive groves, Sorrento overlooks the Gulf of Naples, overlooking Mount Vesuvius and the Phlegraean Fields and is, with its incredible landscapes, one of the largest cities of the Sorrento Peninsula.
The origins of the name of Sorrento blend with the ancient myth of the Sirens. Probably founded as a Greek colony, it was later invaded by peoples of different dominations until the arrival of the Romans.
During the Roman period it was known as Surrentum. The city was so special and charming, that it became a favorite holiday destination for the Roman patricians.
It is in this city that Torquato Tasso lived part of his youth to which is dedicated a square, also several actors, such as Sofia Loren, have made films of international success.
Sorrento has several areas with panoramic points overlooking the sea, numerous pebble beaches with equipped facilities, a quaint old town with craft shops and restaurants of Neapolitan cuisine.
There's also a museum, the Museo Correale, with evidence of painting and decorative art and local archaeology, various centuries-old churches.
These include the Convent of San Francesco complex with its arches, the Cloister and the variety of plants, and the Marina with the small fishing village that retains the charm of ancient times.

POSITANO - This is the pearl of the fascinating Amalfi Coast, which extends vertically like a crib set in the rock. The sea can be reached through small alleys made of white stone, full of craft shops and restaurants offering menus of local and international cuisine, mainly based on fresh fish.
From the sea, you can admire the colors of the city with its white houses decorated with fuchsia bougainvillea flowers, the bright green that colors the Lattari Mountains and, finally, the silver gray beach pebbles.
It is a magical and seductive view that attracts many tourists and artists every year. A poor fishing village until the boom of tourism in the late 1950s, Positano is now among the most visited places on the Amalfi Coast.
From afar, Positano looks like a small hill where pastel-colored houses with red roofs are all standing next to each other overlooking the bay. Some in fact describe it as a living crib!
When you walk in Positano you feel captivated by its simple but extraordinary beauty, the sea can be seen practically everywhere and you will have a wide choice of cafes and restaurants to choose from.
Over the years Positano has also become famous for its fashion in linen dresses, leather shoes and leather bags: a real surprise for women who love windows!
Another point of interest for those interested in architecture is the church of Santa Maria in the center of the village which also houses works of art dating back to the 13th and 14th centuries.

AMALFI - Amalfi is a town in the province of Salerno, located on the southern side of the Sorrento peninsula, was declared a Unesco World Heritage Site in 1997.
Very charming place, rich in history and culture but at the same time renowned tourist destination because of its beautiful coastline, Amalfi is one of the oldest Maritime Republics in Italy, known as the Duchy of Amalfi, and its origins date back to the fourth century AD.
The Maritime Code of Amalfi, better known by the name of Amalfi Tables, had a great influence until the seventeenth century, is preserved in Palazzo Morelli, where there is the popular house and the Civic Museum.
According to a legend the town takes its name from Amalfi, a nymph loved by Hercules, the pagan god of strength, but his love was short-lived: Amalfi died and Hercules wanted to bury it in the most beautiful place in the world, and to immortalize it gave the city the name of his beloved.
As for the economy, we can say that most of the land for agricultural use is intended for the production of the special Amalfi Lemon.
