Description
Create a unique art panel using vintage kimono in this hands-on workshop! Discover the cultural beauty of kimono with a professional guide and craft a sustainable keepsake to remember your Japan trip.
Create your one-of-a-kind kimono art! Immerse yourself in the rich culture of kimonos from across all of Japan while crafting your own unique art piece. While many people know of kimonos, very few know about the signature patterns and variations across different regions of Japan.
This workshop repurposes authentic vintage kimono fabrics, offering an eco-friendly and sustainable way to appreciate Japan’s beauty. A professional kimono expert will guide you through the history and cultural significance of kimono, making this both an enjoyable art and learning experience for beginners.
Choose from a variety of exquisite kimono fabrics: the vibrant Bingata from Okinawa, the earthy Oshima Tsumugi from Amami, the elegant Kaga Yuzen from Kanazawa, and the refined Kyo Yuzen from Kyoto. Using simple techniques, create a beautiful art panel featuring your selected fabric to take home as a keepsake.
