Sumo wrestling is the national sport of Japan. The tournaments are held only 90 days of the year, so this is a rare opportunity to see the “real thing.”

Of the 44 sumo stables operating in Japan, only a select few allow guests to observe the morning practice sessions. Watch the sumo strongmen practice at a stable that is only 14 minutes away from Otemachi/Tokyo station.

After the practice, listen to a short presentation from a local guide. Learn about the basics of sumo wrestling to take back home, not just the photogenic sights of the practice.

For those who are interested the experienced guide can continue on give you a tour of Nihonbashi and Ginza. This optional tour will be 9000JPY per person and up to five people.
You must inform VAS TOURS directly for the tours to happen as we need to assign the right people to be able to do this.
Exit B1 Kiyosumi-Shirakawa station exit is near a familymart convenience store.

When should I book?

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.


Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
