Located within the park grounds, the five-storied Chureito Pagoda was constructed in 1963 as a peace memorial. Its striking vermilion structure, set against the backdrop of Mt. Fuji, has become one of Japan’s most iconic images, featured in countless photographs worldwide. Beyond its beauty, the site serves as a place of reflection and remembrance, symbolizing harmony and the blending of Shinto and Buddhist traditions in Japanese culture.

Explore Shimoyoshida’s retro streets, a living reminder of the Showa era (1926–1989). Visit the Nikawa Clock Shop, with its nostalgic storefront and vintage craftsmanship, and enjoy rare photo opportunities of Mt. Fuji rising above authentic mid-20th-century townscapes.
