Meet your instructor, Eva, a professional and very highly accomplished taiko drummer. She was the founder and first musical director of Cornell University's Taiko Drumming group, and has received the excellency award from the Tokyo University of Arts New Artists Competition. Her original music is now published by Harper Collins and Cambridge International Curriculum.
Experience the wonderful Japanese taiko drums through a 90-minute workshop where you will be taught the taiko drums in English. Go through the foundation training, rhythm training, and learn a traditional and contemporary taiko drumming piece.
Watch a demonstration performance and receive a brief taiko drumming history explanation. After the workshop, you will receive a personalized video of you playing the taiko drums.

The Eva Kestner Taiko Drum Academy will be held at a taiko studio at 11-1 Uguisudanicho Shibuya-ku, a 7 minute walk from Daikanyama station, a trendy location in Tokyo, Japan.
