Explore the eastern gardens of the former Edo Palace with an English-speaking guide and discover how Japan became the country it is today.
Start by meeting your guide at Starbucks, near the palace (see the "meeting point" section for more details). Together, you will head to the large main gate (otemon) of the Tokyo Imperial Palace. Once through the gate, follow your guide on a captivating journey around the palace grounds and the oriental garden! (The main castle no longer exists, but for a very good reason that your guide will explain during the tour! You will also have the opportunity to see a miniature structure of the former palace). Explore the history of the former soldiers' barracks, meet special koi fish, and marvel at trees from different prefectures of Japan. Enjoy the serenity of the palace while discovering its past, including a visit to the former base of Edo Castle more than 350 years ago! This tour is perfect for anyone interested in history or who wants to understand the history of Japan and gain a better understanding of how Japan became the country it is today :)

Please wear clothing appropriate for the weather. This tour will take place in good weather or bad :) This tour does not include a visit to the inner palace. If you do not show up within 10 minutes of the meeting time, we will start the tour without you :)
Take the train to Tokyo Station or Otemachi Station. From there, it is only a 5-10 minute walk to Wadakuramon Fountain Park. In the park, head towards the Starbucks where your guide will be waiting for you near the fountain. Your guide will be holding a sign with our logo: "SUNRISE ADVENTURE."

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
