Description

See professional sumo wrestlers up close at a Jungyo regional tour — a rare, intimate alternative to the Grand Sumo Tournaments, right in your city.
Feel the energy of professional sumo up close at a Jungyo regional tour — a rare chance to see top wrestlers outside the Grand Sumo Tournaments, in a more intimate setting. Held in cities across Japan, Jungyo brings professional sumo to local communities, creating a lively atmosphere where wrestlers and fans come closer together.

Your English-speaking guide will introduce you to the basics of sumo, explain its traditions and culture, and assist you with admission. Once inside, enjoy the event at your own pace — no scripted commentary, just you and the action.

Jungyo is one of two ways to see professional sumo in Japan, alongside the six Grand Sumo Tournaments held throughout the year in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Fukuoka. Between tournaments, wrestlers take their sport on the road, giving you a chance to experience sumo in different cities and see wrestlers beyond the matches.

One of the highlights of Jungyo is the atmosphere. Watch local fans cheer, react, and root for their favorites, and feel free to join in while respecting the traditions of sumo and those around you.

This ticket includes a 2nd-floor chair seat assigned by the organizer. Seating and venues vary by city.
