Description

Learn to play the Tsugaru shamisen in Kanazawa with top performers, including a Japanese champion. Wear a kimono and enjoy tea in a traditional Japanese room.
Immerse yourself in the art of the Tsugaru shamisen, a powerful and fast-paced style of traditional Japanese music. Learn directly from one of Japan’s top performers, including a former national champion, in this unique cultural experience in Kanazawa. The experience lasts approximately one hour.

Your journey begins at the venue, where you’ll change into a traditional kimono. Watch a demonstration by the master instructor, then take a lesson and practice session. Play the shamisen alongside the master, with guidance from an English interpreter.

Take a break to enjoy Japanese tea and snacks. You will take a commemorative photo. After the experience, you will change back into your own clothes.

During the experience, we will also capture your memories with photos and videos, and all photos and videos will be sent to your email a few days later.

This one-of-a-kind experience lets you learn, play, and fully immerse yourself in authentic Japanese culture—sitting on tatami mats in a kimono, enjoying music, tea, and tradition—perfect for beginners and music enthusiasts alike.
