Description

Enjoy Tokyo’s cherry blossoms on a 1-hour guided walk along Chidorigafuchi. Choose a daytime or evening tour and see sakura over the imperial moat while learning the basics of hanami culture.
Join an English-speaking local guide for a 1-hour sakura walk along Chidorigafuchi, one of Tokyo’s most iconic cherry blossom locations. You will meet near Kudanshita Station and walk to the riverside promenade, where cherry trees line the path above the imperial moat.
If you choose a daytime start time, you can enjoy soft natural light, clear views of the stone walls and water, and a calmer atmosphere that is ideal for photos and families. If you choose an evening start time, you will feel the after-work hanami mood, and during illumination days you may see blossoms glowing above the dark water. The exact blooming and lighting conditions change every year, but the route is scenic throughout the season.
As you stroll along the path, your guide explains what hanami means to Japanese people, how the short life of sakura connects to ideas of beauty and impermanence, and how etiquette has changed as visitor numbers increased. You stop at several of the best viewing points to take photos of blossoms over the moat and walkways lined with trees, and you can get simple tips for framing and angles so your phone or camera shots really capture the scene.
The tour finishes near the end of the promenade, where you can continue walking on your own or return toward the station. Your guide can share recommendations for nearby restaurants and bars so you can keep enjoying the evening after the tour.
