3-minute walk from Kanazawa station. A rare opportunity to take part in a cooking class for locals. Max. 6 people. Experience real Japanese food and culture.
Our school has been offering Japanese and home cooking classes since 1964.
We teach Kanazawa's home cooking, which has a reputation for being delicious among the locals.
Due to an increase in the number of inquiries from abroad, we have started accepting foreigners!
What the instructor speaks in Japanese is projected in English on a large monitor in real-time.

In one lesson, you will make 4 dishes.
The class size is small, from 2 to a maximum of 6 people.

Please have a pleasant time at our class located right in front of the "Kakumon" gate of Kanazawa station. We are looking forward to your reservation. Please feel free to join us.

The menu changes every week. Spring, summer, fall, and winter. The instructor purchases the freshest ingredients directly from the Omimachi Market.

October Menu
-10/8 Pork cutlet served on top of a bowl of rice, grilled mushrooms, cucumber and eggplant with salted kelp, miso soup with radish and deep-fried tofu
10/10-10/15 grilled salmon, deep-fried Kaga lotus root, koya tofu and grilled rice ball
10/17-10/22 Carbonara, white fish piccata, hot vegetable salad, egg white soup, pasta basics
10/24-10/29 Bean-curd soup seasoned with red pepper, bean sprouts with egg, snow crab soup, black sesame pudding

November Menu
A. Exquisite! cheese in hamburger steak, homemade bread, spaghetti salad, simmered pumpkin in soup
B. simmered mackerel with miso, rice cooked with autumn vegetables, pickled turnip with kombucha, simmered deep-fried tofu and Chinese cabbage with egg, sliced mackerel in a tube
C. Gratin, radish salad, cabbage and sausage soup, Earl Grey pudding and homemade white sauce
D. simmered pork, steamed shrimp dumplings made from the skin, lettuce with crab starchy sauce, konnyaku with spicy sauce

December Menu
A. Chikuzen-ni (chicken and vegetable stew), deep-fried shrimp wrapped in yuba, grilled vegetables and sake lees soup
B. Chicken Nanban, Kinton (sweetened chestnuts), Kanazawa-style Zoni, prawn ginkgo, lotus root salmon sandwich, tazukuri and black soybean
C. chicken stewed in red wine, Christmas wreath salad, onion gratin soup, blancmange
D. lasagna, sea urchin bavarois, ham and cheese salad, maple french toast

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.


Cancellations

Cancellation is not possible. If you cancel it anyway or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity and the money you paid will not be refunded.
