Begin your experience by choosing a Japanese kanji character that resonates with you. Each character comes with a clear explanation of its meaning, such as Harmony, Peace, Dream, Love, or Strength. By choosing your own character, the experience becomes personal from the very first moment.

Next, your instructor will write your name in Japanese calligraphy. Seeing your own name expressed through traditional brush strokes is often a deeply moving moment for guests. You will then practice writing your name, learning how to hold the brush, control pressure and ink, and move slowly and intentionally.

With clear explanations in simple English, your instructor guides you step by step. There is no rush and no pressure to be perfect. The focus is on enjoying the rhythm, balance, and calmness of calligraphy — making this experience accessible to everyone, regardless of age or artistic background.

At the end of the experience, write your chosen character one final time on a traditional Japanese shikishi board. With your instructor’s support, create a finished piece of calligraphy — not just practice work, but a true artwork. Take this Shikishi home with you as a unique souvenir created by your own hands.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
