Description

Hike with a local Bedouin guide to Jordan’s tallest peak in Wadi Rum. Enjoy panoramic desert views, a traditional fire‑cooked lunch, and a relaxing break with Bedouin tea
Embark on an unforgettable journey to Jabal Umm ad Dami, the highest peak in Jordan, with a trusted local Bedouin guide. Your adventure begins with a Jeep drive through the quiet, southern part of Wadi Rum, far from the busier tourist paths and close to the Saudi border.

As you travel, you’ll be surrounded by endless red sand dunes, towering rock formations, and hidden desert valleys—scenes only seen by few. When you reach the mountain’s base, your hike begins. The trail steadily climbs, and you’ll experience a remarkable shift: the desert plain rises into rocky heights, offering panoramic views and a new perspective on the landscape around you.

Reaching the summit, you’ll be rewarded with a breathtaking view that stretches across both Jordan and into Saudi Arabia—an ideal spot for photos and quiet reflection. The sense of accomplishment is powerful, standing on this remote, wind‑kissed peak.

On your way down, you’ll pause in a shaded nook of the desert where your guide will prepare a traditional lunch over an open fire. You’ll taste simple, authentic flavors: fire-cooked meat or vegetables infused with desert spices, all paired with sweet Bedouin tea brewed right over the coals.

To close the day, you will witness a spectacular desert sunset. The sky will glow in warm pinks, purples, and golds as the sun sinks behind sandstone ridges—creating a peaceful, magical moment you’ll never forget.

This is more than a hike. It is a cultural immersion into Bedouin life, a physical journey to Jordan’s roof, and a deeply personal way to connect with the wild beauty of Wadi Rum.
