Dress Code and Essentials
The temples are active religious sites; respectful attire is mandatory.
• Strict Dress Code: To enter the upper levels of Angkor Wat and the main sanctuaries of other major temples, your shoulders and knees must be covered. T-shirts and long shorts or pants are required. Scarves used as wraps are generally not accepted for the main sanctuary climb.
• Footwear: Wear comfortable walking shoes or sturdy sandals. You will be walking long distances and navigating steep, uneven stone steps.
• Hydration: The heat and humidity are significant. Always carry plenty of water (your driver or guide will usually provide cold water and towels).
• Sun Protection: Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a wide-brimmed hat for protection.
• Rain Gear: If visiting during the wet season (May to October), bring a light rain poncho or jacket.
