Description

This 2 Days Tsavo East Safari from Mombasa gives you an opportunity to spend a quality 24 hours within Kenya’s Largest National Park famous for it's huge herds of 'Red Elephants'
Day 1:Mombasa to Tsavo East
Leave Mombasa early in the morning for your 2 Days Tsavo East National Park Safari via the Mombasa - Nairobi road. Make a short stop along the way for refreshments before proceeding to enter the park through the Bachuma gate. Begin game viewing drive in the open grasslands of the South-Eastern part of the park - keep your eyes peeled as this area provides the perfect habitat for cheetahs and sightings are more common here than almost anywhere else in park. Along the way you may spot herds of elephants, antelopes, or zebras grazing wearily by the roadside and several other wild animals.

We will visit the Aruba Dam - a man-made dam which was constructed in 1952 along the seasonal Voi River. The dam is a congregating point for over 50 different species of animals including birds. We will enjoy more game viewing as we head to your pre-booked Safari Camp or Lodge for lunch and short rest. Afternoon Safari game drive looking out for game and enjoying the scenery. Dinner and overnight at Voi Safari Lodge

Tsavo East National Park is one of Kenya's oldest and largest parks, also home to the largest herds of elephant in Kenya, usually covered in red dust. The park provides for excellent photography with it's spectacular views such as Mudanda Rock, Yatta Plateau and the Tsavo River. Animals likely to be spotted include hippo, crocodiles, lion, leopard, waterbuck, kudu, zebra, gazelles, ostrich and other bird species.

In the night you may hear the sounds of elephant trumpeting, hyenas laughing, lions roaring or the sound of the owl hooting - spirits of the African night.

Day 2:Tsavo East to Mombasa
Early morning game drive to meet the radiant rising sun over the distant Taita and Sagala hills. We traverse the park in search of more wild animals and bird species then return to your accommodation for breakfast. After breakfast leave your accommodation for a mid-morning game drive then exit the park and drive back to Mombasa arriving in the afternoon
