Mombasa: 3-Day Tsavo East & Taita Hills Safari Tour

Embark on a 3-day safari from Mombasa to Tsavo East National Park and Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. Enjoy game drives, stay in unique lodges, and see elephants, lions, and more.
Day 1: Mombasa/Diani - Tsavo East

Get picked up from your hotel in Mombasa or Diani in the morning and drive along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway to Tsavo East National Park. Arrive at Buchuma Gate and begin your game drive. Visit various places, including Aruba Dam, a waterhole built by the British Army in 1952 during colonial times.

See elephants, lions, buffaloes, zebras, and more. Continue the game drive until 1:30 PM, then head to your lodge for check-in and lunch. After lunch, relax for 2 hours before heading out for another game drive in the park, searching for lions, ostriches, gnus, gazelles, giraffes, and other wildlife until sunset. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Tsavo East – Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary

Wake up and enjoy an early morning breakfast, then depart for a morning game drive in Tsavo East National Park. Around 11:00 AM, leave the park and head to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. Arrive at Taita Hills at around 1:00 PM and have lunch at Taita Hills Resort.

After lunch, go to Saltlick Lodge, check in, and relax until 4:00 PM, when you will go for an evening game drive in the sanctuary until sunset. Return to Saltlick Lodge for dinner and an optional one-hour night game drive with a ranger at an extra cost. Spend the night in a pillar house.

Day 3: Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary - Mombasa/Diani

Wake up and enjoy an early morning breakfast, then depart for a morning game drive in the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, searching for lions, ostriches, gazelles, giraffes, and other wildlife until 11:00 AM. Leave the sanctuary and start the journey back to Mombasa or Diani. Upon arrival at around 4:00 PM, get dropped off at your beach hotel.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
