Mombasa City Tour: Fort Jesus Museum & Haller Park Tour

Begin the day trip with pick-up from your hotel or desired location in Mombasa at around 8 AM. Drive through the city center. Visit the iconic Mombasa Tusks, a symbolic landmark representing the entrance to the city. Take some memorable photos and learn about the historical significance of these tusks.

Learn everything about Mombasa and how it evolved. After that, pass the Mombasa Club, Africa Hotel, Mandhry Mosque, Government Square, entering the Old Port and continuing towards the Old Spice Market. Walk past the old colonial houses and mosques as you discover the culture and origins of the city. Stop for lunch at one of the best restaurants in town, where you can enjoy 1 dish of seafood or biryani - a Swahili delicacy.

After lunch, head to the Mama Ngina Waterfront, a beautiful public space along the coastline. Enjoy the stunning views of the Indian Ocean, take a leisurely walk along the promenade, and relax in the shaded areas. Experience the vibrant atmosphere and maybe try some street food from the local vendors.
Afterwards, proceed to Fort Jesus, a fascinating UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the museum located within the fort, which showcases artifacts and exhibits detailing the history of Mombasa.
Later in the afternoon, head to Haller Park, a unique wildlife sanctuary and nature reserve. Explore the park's trails, where you can encounter giraffes, zebras, hippos, and a variety of bird species. Take a guided tour to learn about the conservation efforts and the park's reforestation projects.
Return to your accommodation by around 5 PM where the tour will end.
