Day 1: Diani/Mombasa – Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary – Salt Lick Safari Lodge

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or residence in Diani or Mombasa. Travel along the Mombasa–Nairobi Highway while enjoying scenic views of the Kenyan countryside.

Arrive at Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary in time for lunch and check in at Salt Lick Safari Lodge. After lunch, embark on your first exciting afternoon game drive as you search for elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, impalas, waterbucks, hartebeests, and many other wildlife species. Later, proceed to the lodge where elevated rooms overlook a floodlit waterhole where animals gather throughout the day and night, providing incredible wildlife viewing without leaving your room. Enjoy dinner at the lodge followed by an overnight stay as you listen to the sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive – Diani/Mombasa

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive when wildlife is most active. This is the best time to spot predators returning from their hunt while herbivores graze across the sanctuary. Capture breathtaking photographs of the spectacular landscapes and wildlife before returning to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, check out and begin your journey back to the coast. Arrive in Diani or Mombasa in the late afternoon, where you will be dropped off at your hotel, residence, or preferred location, marking the end of your memorable safari.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
