Begin your journey at the International House Nairobi. Pass by the County Assembly, the Supreme Court of Kenya, and the Governor’s Office, learning about the city’s political landscape.
Next, enter the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC). Start with a tour of the amphitheater, a hidden gem that not many people know about. Then, head to the rooftop helipad for a 360-degree view of Nairobi.
Exit towards Parliament and stop at the National Assembly. Continue to Uhuru Park, where you’ll take a tour around the park and have a small history session at the Freedom Corner.
Leave the park using Kenyatta Avenue for a history tour about the building. Finish the tour at the famous Mau Mau statue, with photos of the “Welcome to Nairobi” sign. If time allows, enjoy a sit-down meal or drink to wind up the trip.

• This is a walking tour, so comfortable walking shoes and light clothing are highly recommended.
• Bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated throughout the tour.
• The tour includes outdoor and indoor stops — please be prepared for changing weather (a light jacket or umbrella is useful during the rainy season).
• Photography is allowed at most sites, but always follow the guide’s instructions regarding restricted areas.
• Optional hotel/hostel pick-up can be arranged in advance (additional cost may apply).
• Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
KICC rooftop is not wheelchair accessible but on the rest of the tour it’s fine.
I’ll be waiting for you right outside International House in Nairobi’s city centre main entrance, it’s a well-known landmark, easy to spot. Look out for me wearing a white T-shirt branded “Kwa Nia Safari & City Tours”, along with a hat and sunglasses. I’ll be standing near the main entrance, ready to welcome you with a smile!

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
