Nairobi: 8-Day Kenya's Best Wildlife Safari

Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

You will be picked up at 7am from your hotel in Nairobi or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) from where you will travel along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway. Your scenic drive will pass through vast savannah plains dotted with local homesteads and colorful Maasai tribes and their cattle. In the afternoon there is a game drive and this evening your accommodation will be at Amboseli Kibo Safari Camp or similar.

Day 2: Full Day in Amboseli National Park

Your second day will be a day of game viewing, sightseeing and relaxation. You will spend the whole day in Amboseli with the maximum amount of game viewing, game viewing and landscape observation during the trip. Your accommodation that evening will again be at Amboseli Kibo Safari Camp or similar.

Day 3: Amboseli to Lake Naivasha National Park

You will go on an early morning game drive as you exit Amboseli National Park. From there continue to Lake Naivasha at the bottom of the Great Rift Valley. In the afternoon you will go on a boat ride, watching exotic birds and hippos amidst the serenity of this Rift Valley freshwater lake. Your accommodation that evening will be at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort or similar.

Day 4: Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park

Your day begins with a nature walk with birds in the picturesque lakeside setting. You'll grab your bike and cycle to nearby Hell's Gate National Park, where you'll explore the canyon on foot and spot some wildlife. Later, a short one-hour drive will take you to Lake Nakuru National Park where you will stay at Lake Nakuru/Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge or similar.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara National Reserve

Enjoy an early game viewing as you leave Lake Nakuru National Park. You will continue to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, arriving in mid-afternoon. Then go on an afternoon game drive before spending the evening at Masai Mara Sopa Lodge or similar.

Day 6: Full day in Maasai Mara National Reserve

Day 6 will be a surplus of game viewing. The Maasai Mara Game Reserve remains one of the most exciting wildlife ecosystems in Africa, and at the end of the day you will spend the evening at the Maasai Mara Sopa Lodge or similar.

Day 7: Full Day in Masai Mara National Park

On Day 7, you will spend an additional day in the Maasai Mara, with game drives scheduled. Your accommodation for the evening will be at the Masai Mara Sopa Lodge or similar.

Day 8: Maasai Mara to Nairobi

On your final day, you will start with an early drive before breakfast with a game viewing before heading to Nairobi.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
